Battle Royale: Inflation, Deflation, Recession

Recently, the price of almost everything has been on the rise. Inflation, deflation and recession has been the hottest words around nowadays. Therefore, I have come to realization that it is important that I save money and stop squandering them since I do not have a guarantor for an endless supply.

So, how to save money?

1. Wear clothing twice or thrice before washing. The longer, the better.
Save electricity, soap powder and water.
Recommended:
- underwear: two days [unless you are involved in activities that requires you to display them la which I doubt so. Can get infection ah? You can grow your own yeast or use tissue as a cheap liner.]
- shirts: at least three times [sprinkle a little talcum powder and its set to be worn again]
- pants: at least five times
- socks: one week [so what if it smells bad? not many people are as short as your knees to smell them]
-jeans: 2 months
[You can sun all your clothing daily without washing them first, after all sunlight is free]
*Important Note*
Recommendation does not mean it's truly practical, nor does it mean that the author practices all of the above.

2. Don't go out so often.
[Unless with parents, generous friends and people who have the supply to squander because they tend to foot the bill]
If you desparately need to, no problem. Indulge in activities that does not require money.
For example: window shopping, walking your dog, taking the parcourse in the park, gatecrashing parties, sleepovers et cetera.

3. Go on a diet.
This way, you get to save money on food as well as shed the extra pounds.
[If you're super skinny, go on a carbohydrate diet. Cheap carbs are available in most places]

4. Download your movies and music off the net.
[Illegal, illegal. Sorry, sorry. This is the world wide web. It's not wise to encourage such things eh.]
4. Free essential entertainment
Get your movies and music from YouTube. :D
Or borrow them DVDs from your friends' library.
Or be your own drama queen; it's free entertainment for everyone.

5. Quit going to cyber cafes.
Computer games? Forget it, why fight with your fingers when you can do that with your fist.
[If you can fix the fight you may make some cash.]
Stick to UNO cards, congkak, snake and ladders, chess and checkers.
No internet access? Go to your friend's house la. Or hack your neighbour's internet connection.

6. Gifts
Take A4 paper and your colour pencils out. Get in touch with your creative side and voila!
A happy birthday/christmas/wedding/happy divorce/single again card!
After all, it's the thought that counts, no?

7. Say bye bye to sms-ing over 50 messages and making over 10 phonecalls per day.
USE INSTANT MESSENGER. or your father's handphone. or your mother's handphone. or your friend's handphone. :D
Learn to read smoke signals and do it the Sioux[Native American] way.
